A top list of side hustle income ideas:

All of the ideas listed below have been tried by me. Please leave comments if you have new ideas that should be added to this list, or experiences of your own trying these income producing methods!

Online Income Streams

  2. Interest from Savings:We are working on building up our savings, and doing a better job of investing our money. So I think it is important to track how much money we are making each month just by having money in our savings and investment accounts. I flag this as an achievement, because I read the book, Automatic Millionaire. And it changed the way we started saving for our future. So we will continue to track and watch it grow.

  3. iBotta: I marked our income here as zero. My husband and I signed up for this app, which you can learn more about on my iBotta breakdown page. You have to earn $20 or more before they will pay you. I have found it very difficult to get to that level in a single month, but I am going to keep building my credits.

 

Offline Income Streams

  1. Insurance Inspections: These are three separate paychecks he earned this month from that job. This is a side hustle that my husband found that he can do in his spare time, and it is great for people that need flexible schedules.   2. Boiler Assistant: My husband found a Heating company that allows him to assist with the instalation of new furnaces when they need an extra hand. Think outside the box when you try to come up with initial side hustles. This one proved to be very beneficial this month, but it really isn't a steady stream of income.

  3. Real Estate Agent: This is what I do in my spare time. It takes 40 hours of a class, plus passing a state and national exam to become licensed. Then there is a cost of about $600 per year for registrations, continuing education, and insurance. But a single house sale can net you several thousand dollars, and it easily covers those expenses. You have to enjoy working with people, and not get frustrated when they don't want to take your advice. You just have to try to do what is best for them every step of the way. You also need to be good at negotiating, and getting your customer the best deal possible on a property, while following strict guidelines for ethics, and safety. Each state has different requirements for what you can do to get your license. Once you have your lice it is important to find a mentor that has experience and will teach you what you need to know. I would never recommend anyone start out by themselves right out of the gate. You can then either work as much or as little as you would like!
